With a background in nursing, home health care, and healthcare technology, Hairiya brings years of hands-on experience and a passion for helping clients access the resources they need to thrive.

Where’d you come from and what’d you do there? I moved to South California from Bulacan, Philippines in 2010! I was a fresh BS Nursing grad, and then went to home healthcare work for about 7 years, then I moved to Virginia Beach in 2017. I have been in patient care for about 7-10 years, then on the behind-the-scenes AKA health care tech jobs that started in 2022.

How did you become interested in working at LGBT Life Center? I went here a few times to get tested, and I have respect for the people who work for this organization. It’s truly inspiring to finally be a part of it.
What’s an interesting thing about you that most people don’t know? I like to talk about deep psychological stuff, things that irk most people, and without judgment and prejudice.
What excites you most about being at LGBT Life Center? The self-expression that everyone brings!
