We’re proud to share that LGBT Life Center CEO Stacie Walls has been selected for the CIVIC Leadership Institute’s Executive Class of 2027.
Each year, CIVIC brings together approximately 50 senior leaders representing different industries, communities, and perspectives across Hampton Roads. From September 2026 through May 2027, class members will travel throughout the region, learn about the issues shaping Hampton Roads, and build relationships across the business, healthcare, education, military, government, and nonprofit sectors.
For LGBT Life Center, Stacie’s selection is about more than professional recognition. It means LGBTQ+ people, people affected by HIV, and the communities we serve will be represented in important regional conversations.
The decisions that shape Hampton Roads, around healthcare, housing, transportation, economic opportunity, and community investment, directly affect the people who walk through our doors. Having leaders in the room who understand those connections matters.
Throughout her career at LGBT Life Center, Stacie has helped the organization grow to meet the changing needs of our community while holding firmly to the belief that everyone deserves care, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive. Her participation in CIVIC will create new opportunities to share what we have learned, build stronger partnerships, and bring new ideas back to the Center.
