From our humble beginnings with Sister Mary Joan and a small group of volunteers to now over 60 full-time employees and 500+ active volunteers, we have great cause for celebration. This year, as we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we are about to open two new LGBTQ+ and HIV-affirming clinics and pharmacies, and for the first time in Hampton Roads history, an LGBTQ+ center on both sides of the water.

Gala FAQs
What should I wear?
We invite you to embrace attire that exudes a garden party vibe. Think light, breezy, and elegant—perfect for a sunny, delightful afternoon. Sundresses, dress shirts, and khakis are all welcome. Hats and floral prints are encouraged to add a touch of whimsy and charm. Let’s make this a stylish and memorable event!
Can I/my organization/business buy a table?
Yes! Tables have 8 seats each and can be purchased for $1,000. They include tickets to the VIP reception and the brunch. All proceeds benefit LGBT Life Center. For more information, contact Christopher Reybrouck at creybrouck@lgbtlifecenter.org.
Where can I park?
Free valet service is included in the price of your ticket. Just pull up to the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth and a valet will park your car for you.
*Note* Please do not park in the neighborhood as there are parking rules in the surrounding area.
If I win an auction item, when do I pay for it?
First of all, thank you for bidding on an auction item to support LGBT Life Center, and secondly, congrats on winning! We ask all auction item winners to pay for their items immediately after the auction. All forms of credit cards are accepted, or we’ll accept a check.
