We’re excited to share big news: LGBT Life Center has received funding to launch a new Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) program that will serve 20 LGBTQ+ households experiencing literal homelessness in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Western Tidewater—a region where no such program currently exists for our community.
That changes now.
With this new project, we’re removing barriers and building bridges to safe, stable housing—with services designed specifically for LGBTQ+ individuals. Our approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in respect, offering more than a place to live—it offers a path forward.
We’ll support participants through:
- Housing search and placement assistance
- Case management tailored to each person’s needs
- Economic mobility and job support
- Health and wellness referrals
- Community-building and ongoing care
This work aligns directly with the goals of the Virginia Housing Trust Fund, which exists to create permanent housing solutions for underserved populations.
