What are some of your skills, abilities, talents?:
I play the saxophone, albeit at a very amateur level.
How did you become interested in this position?:
I was profoundly inspired by my late friend, Charles Kirtland. As a former chairman of the board, he consistently encouraged me to use my voice for the betterment of the community.
What makes our organization’s mission powerful to you?:
The loss of nearly an entire generation to the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the government’s neglect of our community underscore the importance of protecting and advocating for our own.
What is an interesting thing about you that most people don’t know?:
I organize a local drag pageant and have a passion for traveling.
What would you like to say about joining the LGBT Life Center Board of Directors?:
I am deeply honored to join the Board of Directors and am committed to serving our community to the best of my ability.
LGBT Life Center’s Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding our organization’s mission, ensuring financial sustainability, and advocating for the needs of our community. Board members volunteer their time, expertise, and leadership to strengthen the Center’s programs and services, helping us continue to provide life-saving support, healthcare, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV. Their service is an investment in a stronger, healthier future for our community.
