October 10, 2025 by Corey Mohr Leave a Comment

We’re thrilled to introduce Joshua “Ryne” Haynie (he/him), one of the newest members of our care team at LGBT Life Center! As a Medical Case Manager, Ryne helps clients navigate the often-complicated world of healthcare — connecting them to the right providers, coordinating appointments, and ensuring they have the support needed to stay healthy and thrive. With a background in mental health programming and a passion for community care, Ryne brings both expertise and heart to his work. Outside of the office, you can find him strumming his ukulele, collecting crystals, or spending time with friends and family.

Job title:
Medical Case Manager

Where’d you come from and what’d you do there? I moved to Virginia Beach from Little Rock, AR, earlier this year. I’ve been working as a QMHP/Life Coach at Life Consultants, Inc. in Chesapeake for the last couple of months. My background is mental health programming and case management. Over the last decade, I’ve worked as a recreation paraprofessional, program supervisor, case management lead, and assistant director.

I’m here to help you with…I provide medical case management, helping clients navigate the healthcare system, stay connected to their providers, and access the care and resources they need. My work includes coordinating appointments, supporting treatment adherence, and ensuring ongoing follow-up and support.

How did you become interested in working at the LGBT Life Center? I heard about the organization upon moving to the area, and I applied for multiple positions this year before landing a spot here.

What’s an interesting thing about you that most people don’t know? I play the ukulele and banjolele. I’m also a rockhound with an affinity for crystals.

What excites you most about being at the LGBT Life Center? I’m thrilled to serve my community.
