Life Support: October's Volunteer Newsletter

Volunteers are the heart of LGBT Life Center. Whether they’re packing food boxes, welcoming clients at events, or raising awareness in the community, their time and energy make our work possible.

That’s why we publish Life Support each month, a volunteer-led and volunteer-written newsletter, to give space for volunteer voices, highlight the impact of service, and share opportunities to get involved.

Each issue of Life Support is packed with:

  • Volunteer spotlights that share the inspiring stories behind the people who make our work shine.
  • Awareness days and advocacy that connect service to the broader fight for equity.
  • Event highlights from Sapphic events to Silent Discos, showing how volunteers bring joy and energy to everything we do.
  • Training opportunities so new and returning volunteers can build their skills and confidence.

Most importantly, Life Support reflects the spirit of our community—neighbors helping neighbors, building each other up, and ensuring LGBTQ+ folks and people living with HIV are seen, supported, and celebrated.
