July 18, 2026 by Corey Mohr Leave a Comment

With more than 20 years of experience in human services, T joins LGBT Life Center as our new HOPWA Housing Case Manager. Throughout her career, she’s advocated for individuals and families navigating challenges including housing instability, HIV, mental health, domestic violence, and substance use. Now, she’s excited to help our community access the resources and support they need to build stable, healthy lives.

Name/Nickname: Timeca D. Cade, prefer “T” or Cade
Pronouns: She/Her
Job title: HOPWA Housing Case Manager

Where’d you come from and what’d you do there? I came here from New York (upstate) on April 30, 2026. I was an Employment Specialist/ Job Coach for those with physical and intellectual disabilities. I have my AAS in Human Services. I have been in the Human Services field for 20+ yrs. I have worked with several populations and provided advocacy for individuals and families, including but not limited to drug and alcohol use, those affected by HIV/AIDS, homelessness, domestic violence, troubled youth, and mental health.

I’m here to help you with…as the new HOPWA Housing Case Manager, I am here to assist with housing, job searches, recerts, food supply, and any daily day-to-day living responsibilities and tasks.

How did you become interested in working at LGBT Life Center? After deciding to relocate to the area, I looked up agencies in the Human Services field that I could find that were relevant to my passion and background, and aligned with my plans and/or goals. I wanted to find an agency that was impactful in the community, well-known, and provided services I see fit, and that could support initiatives aligned with my morals and values.

What’s an interesting thing about you that most people don’t know? I was originally born in Albany, NY. The capital of NY (small city), but I am a country girl at heart. ❤️

What excites you most about being at LGBT Life Center? The idea of empowering the community and making an impact.
