July 31, 2025 by Corey Mohr Leave a Comment

We’re excited to welcome Chenese (she/her), who joins us with a strong background in behavioral health, harm reduction, and peer recovery work. From case management to syringe exchange programs, she’s passionate about connecting people to the care they need. Chenese is here to help clients navigate our programs, understand eligibility, and build a healthier community—one connection at a time.

Name/Nickname: Chenese/Nesey or CB
Pronouns:
She/Her
Job title:
Community Health Navigator

Where’d you come from and what’d you do there? I came from working in the mental health & substance use field as a peer recovery specialist. I also have experience in the behavioral health field as a Qualified Mental Health Paraprofessional as well as a case manager. At my most recent employer I worked a harm reduction program doing the syringe exchange.

I’m here to help you with…understanding what programs and services are available to you and helping determine eligibility. Ultimately, I’m here to help make our community healthier!

How did you become interested in working at the LGBT Life Center? I became interested in working at LGBT Life Center because I admire the diversity displayed and the company’s mission.

What’s an interesting thing about you that most people don’t know? That I am into chakras, crystals, self-help practices, and mysticism lol

What excites you most about being at the LGBT Life Center? Being able to learn more about testing and community/individual prevention in ensuring safety for all.
