The YourStory Project: An LGBTQ Memoir Workshop
January 21 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until March 24, 2020
We’re back with another 8 week workshop in writing!
While much progress has been made, many remember the always challenging, often dangerous atmosphere imposed by the intolerant and unsympathetic culture of the recent past.
In this no-cost creative writing workshop, we will collect your personal narratives in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment. Writing in response to prompts and supportive texts, you will craft short pieces of prose that will testify to the LGBTQ experience as it has evolved over time. You will have the opportunity to publish your work on our blog, and to participate in a public reading to bear witness to this difficulty history.
No previous writing experience necessary! No fee.
SPACES ARE LIMITED: RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Corey Mohr at 757-640-0929, ext. 262.
